From 2009-2010 Spencer held a paid position directing curriculum newscasts at the Newhouse School at Syracuse University. He also directed newscasts at campus station CitrusTV.
In 2010, Spencer produced newscasts at WTVH-TV (CBS) in Syracuse, NY.
On Air
As a journalist he has reported nationally for NPR and reported for local stations WAER and KBOO. Spencer is a skilled on air television talent with experience hosting, anchoring and reporting. In 2011, Spencer hosted China Export on Blue Ocean Network, based in Beijing, China.
