Hello! Thanks for checking out my site. I’m Spencer Raymond, a 2010 graduate of the Newhouse School at Syracuse University. I have degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Policy Studies and a minor in Chinese Studies.
I live in Portland, Ore. where I base my freelance work and host/announce on the region’s NPR affiliate, Oregon Public Broadcasting.
I’ve been freelancing since 2007 in both on and off air capacities and have worked for a variety of networks including ABC, CSN, ESPN, FSN, CBS, NFL Network and NPR.
In 2010 I worked the FIFA World Cup in South Africa. I was with ESPN International at their outdoor set in Mandela Square in Sandton in Johannesburg. As a Production Assistant I mostly worked as ENG Camera and did some editing and producing.
I’ve lived in Beijing, China twice. The first time in 2008 for eight months when I studied abroad and worked at the Olympics. (Below is a pic of me while working on top of Pangu Plaza.) In 2011 I returned to Beijing to host the show China Export on Blue Ocean Network for a few months.
Don’t forget to check out my blog, dispence!
